It was the closest Championship battle in Red Bull X-Fighters history. And this time, a flying Kiwi emerged from the carnage victorious. Oakley’s New Zealand-born Freestyle Motocross Star, Levi Sherwood, was rightly crowned with the 2012 World Title following a super hotly contested struggle between the top riders on the Planet throughout the year. Finally culminating with an ultra intense event in Sydney, the tour came to an explosive end with Levi and fellow O star Thomas Pages’ dueling head-to-head in the ‘land down under’ for all the hardware. A series of magnificent runs saw Levi triumph over the impressive Frenchman in Australia and overall, but the ultimate result only came after a tumultuous season with immense challenges.

Dany Torres has Freestyle.ch FMX on lock. Heading into the 2012 event in Zurich, he was the reigning three-time winner, and therefore wearing a bull-sized target on his back. Despite any added pressure or stakes, Torres did just as he’s done for years, flying higher and pulling smoother tricks than anyone else in the event. Flintstone flip, turn down, dead body indy flip and an execution flip. All pulled beautifully. Dany Torres: four-time champ.
